If you choose to cancel a booking OR your child does not attend a workshop you will not receive a refund unless you have a medical certificate.
If the class is cancelled by Strength Heroes you will receive a refund.
Please note, refunds do not include the processing fees we are required to pay through our booking system.
Without a medical certificate:
A credit will be made available if Strength Heroes are advised by phone or by email within 24 hours prior to the workshop. The booking will be held in credit and this credit must be used within 6 months of the date of the class depending on availability. Please note: You may transfer to another child (related or not). Please let us know of any transfers before the class commences if that is feasible if not we understand.
This will also apply if your child has to isolate as a directive of the Health Department. Please advise us as soon as possible.
Every child is encouraged to try all the activities. They are designed to build on their resilience and teach them new skills. However, if your child does not want to join in, they will be provided an alternative activity. Only if their behaviour warrants it will you be contacted.
We understand that children can get hungry in our workshops. If they want to eat between breaks and lunch they will be asked to eat in a space away from the art as no food is permitted near our creating space. Drink bottles are to be kept in a designated area away from the artwork and tables.
Please ensure that any food you send with your child is nut free.
If you child is attending an all day workshop please ensure you bring lunch and morning tea.
A parent or guardian must be contactable during the workshops.
Strength Heroes is a shared space and we expect students to respect fellow artists, artwork and property. Discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, race sex, gender, sexuality, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, or religion will not be tolerated. You will be informed of any such behaviour. Any future behavioural expectation will be discussed and agreed to. Children deemed to be exhibiting inappropriate or disruptive behaviour may be removed from the class. It should also be noted that children are expected to clean their art space and help clean up the art room.
Contact information you supply to Strength Heroes will not be disclosed to other parties without your express consent, except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information that you may provide.
Strength Heroes will from time-to-time send mail and email to students and past students for the purpose of marketing. Should you not wish to receive mailings from Strength Heroes please notify us that you wish to unsubscribe and you will be removed from our mailing list.
Please observe all parking regulations when dropping off or collection of your child.
Please do not send your child to the workshop if they are sick.
Strength Heroes will take any action it considers necessary, appropriate and in the best interest of you or the child to protect you or the child or any other child or otherwise under its control.
You consent to first aid being administered to you or the child by a person who is the holder of a current senior first aid certificate, doctor, nurse, or emergency service personnel.
Unless an emergency, Strength Heroes will try to contact you prior to first aid being administered.
You will reimburse Strength Heroes for any charges, costs or expenses incurred by it by obtaining the medical or hospital treatment.
We will not administer medication to your child without it being discussed and agreed with us prior to the workshop commencing.
Please contact us prior to the workshop if there are any issues we need to be aware of to make your child comfortable and able to participate. You understand that Strength Heroes can choose not to accept you or the child into any of its classes if any of the terms and conditions are breached; or Strength Heroes believes it is unable to adequately care for you or the child due to any special or medical needs or behavioural problems.
Food brought in for scheduled workshops, is not connected with Strength Heroes or its employees. Strength Heroes will not be held liable for any illness, medical problems or allergies for you or your child.
Strength Heroes are not liable for any damage to any personal property brought to any workshops. We strongly encourage minimal items be brought to workshops.
It is preferred that mobile devices are not brought to the workshops. Children are not permitted to have mobile devices in the art room. It is advised that any mobile devices are kept in bags and only checked during breaks.
Strength Heroes provides aprons to protect clothing. However, we take no responsibility for their use and accept no liability for damage to clothing. We strongly encourage children to wear old clothes or an apron to protect good clothes or school uniforms.
We do often take children’s photos with their artwork as a keepsake of their amazing creation with no intention of using it. For the most part, when we post photos we use photos of hands and creations. However, on occasion we will use photos for advertising and marketing purposes. Our booking system asks you to indicate if you approve. If you booked through the Artspace and are not asked on arrival, please advise the teacher. Please be advised we will not use photos without approval. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for Strength Heroes.
The laws of the State of Western Australia apply to these terms and conditions and to any services provided by Strength Heroes.
All users including parents/guardians, you and the child release Strength Heroes from all actions, suits, claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever at law, in equity and under statute which they may have or but for this agreement would or might at any time hereafter have or have had against Strength Heroes in respect of, arising out of or resulting from the provision of any services or from any other cause relating thereto, including but not limited to the negligent act Strength Heroes and our employees.
